1979年生まれ。京都精華大学で建築を学んだ後、飛騨、京都で修業を積み、2007年に独立。作家活動として盆や家具、茶道具などを制作する一方で、日本の森の在り方や、木や自然のことをもっと多くの人と共有するための取り組みも行う。2016年よりライフスタイルブランド「SOMA」をスタートさせ、これは日本古来の木とともに暮らす文化を現代に取り入れ、森林問題の解決の糸口を探ろうという活動に通じている。

Born in 1979, he studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then trained in Hida and Kyoto before going independent in 2007. While working as an artist, he creates trays, furniture, tea ceremony utensils, and other items, he also works to share the state of Japan's forests, trees, and nature with more people. In 2016, he launched the lifestyle brand "SOMA," which incorporates Japan's ancient culture of living with trees into the modern world, and is linked to activities to find clues to solving forestry issues.
